Government is considering moving against expelled ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema. This was suggested by Jacob Zuma on Thursday(13-09-2012). Julius Malema has always been known as being someone who is open who is not afraid to challenge anyone. He is perceived as a good persuader. Julius Malema used to say he will kill for Zuma and now he is killing Zuma. The government has had enough of Julius and now wants to move him. This all began after he interfered in the Marikana massacre. Telling miners that they should down tool until their demands have been meet, and asking the NUM to step down. Malema is playing on people’s emotions. He used the plat form as an anti-Zuma plat form. This has since generated interest around the nation and government feels that actions should be taken against such people. Jacob Zuma responded to the question of marikana tragedy by saying that “activities that are not acceptable, that were fomenting tension and unrest in the mining industry government were looking at these." and I have engaged with the ministers concerned, to discuss how do we deal with this issue. And very soon we will be able to let the public know. Because it can no longer be accepted. Zuma, in an apparent reference to Malema, who earlier this week called on mine workers to engage in a mass national strike, said it was not just the striking miners who were engaged in such unacceptable activity. “It is also some people of some description who are going there to instigate miners to operate in a particular way. It cannot be accepted. And therefore we are looking into that; we are going to be acting very soon," he said. He was then asked about what he was going to do about the uncontrolled Julius Malema whom he created; Zuma laughed and said he did not create such person. He further said that he shouldn't be blamed for somebody who has some characteristic of his own. It's not his fault. He never participated in the production of such a person," Zuma said, to jeers from opposition benches. On Wednesday(12-09-2012) at the Lenasia Recreation Centre, south of Johannesburg Malema addressed 40 of more than 1000 soldiers suspended after a protest at the Union Buildings in Pretoria in 2009.Malema said that South Africa is a banana republic that does not follow the rule of law. “We must respect the courts, but the leadership of this banana republic disrespects the courts. "He said government had not followed court orders in three instances.
- It did not provide the Democratic Alliance the evidence in the case against President Jacob Zuma,
- Had not delivered textbooks,
- And was not re-instating 1100 soldiers put on special leave for marching at the Union Buildings in 2009.

"Your Commander in Chief [Zuma] is engaged in other things. You are a lesser priority. All of us are a lesser priority," Malema said. “I don't know what is a priority to him, maybe getting married every year. He specialises on that one. Maybe that is what is going right for him. If this country were to have Malema as the president many people will suffer and this country will lose its dignity. Because he does not think before he talks always using the situations to suite his need of exploiting government.SA National Defence Force is seeking legal advice on what charges could be brought against Malema.

Who hasn’t had enough of Malema? At first I thought to myself, now he is the man because he stood up for what he believed in but now he is warming his way to parliament again and using wrong majors. He is busy doing things that he knows well that are wrong and now he is persuading the needy miners to strike.
ReplyDeleteI couldn’t have said it better myself Mbali. Julius Malema is using the tragic situation to his advantage and people are too blind to see that. I must say he is very good at persuading people to do what he wants, now I wonder how long will that last, because government officials are after him.
